Summer Special

Sorry about the delay this month folks. We’ve been going round the countless summer festivals but we’re here now. We are off to a Hinge Festival tomorrow. I’ve just been speaking to some of the guys that we are going along with and it sounds like it’s going to be a great weekend. Some of the lads are a bit anoraky but their expertise and knowledge on Butt Hinges, Butterfly Hinges, Flush Hinges, Barrel Hinges,
Un-Hinged, Dovetail and Cunt is breath taking. It’s funny really but some of the lads are actually going to the show in overalls and boiler suits. Anyway, you’ll get to hear of some of the other festivals that we have been to this summer by listening to the show.

We are having a holiday this month. We are on a sharabang to a nursing home on the seafront at St. Annes so we have put the very first Midlife Dementia Show up. This is the pilot and originally the show was titled THE ANDREW SISTERS MIDLIFE DEMENTIA SHOW. The show has not previously been podcast and features our ghost third member Colin Smith. Col tells me that his position with TMDS makes him feel rather like Michael Bentine and his relationship to The Goons. We are very much hoping that Col is able to join us next month for a new show when we return from our convalescence in St. Annes.

My Profile
The Midlife Dementia Show
THERE WILL BE A NEW SHOW UP AT THE BEGINNING OF EVERY MONTH.
Dementia Show members are Andy Clegg and Andy Whitaker; The Andy’s are members of the post Chameleons band THE SUN AND THE MOON, other band members being Mark Burgess and John Lever. You may have seen Andy Whitaker on a television set near you in THE BILL, CORONATION STREET, EMMERDALE, THE ROYAL and THE ROYAL TODAY under his Equity name of Andy Moore and singing and playing guitar with Andy Clegg in local Venues at the weekend in their duo TWELVE STRINGS. The Andy’s started their entertainment career at the age of 14 presenting, interviewing and editing on Piccadilly Radio’s TRIPE AND ONIONS with Judith Waymont. In the 90s Andy Clegg presented his own radio show in Turkey and then later in South Africa. The “Midlife Dementia” show comprises of silly banter (it’s too far on into the 21st century to use the word Wacky), Silly sketches and brilliant music. It might be described as The Mighty Boosh meets Tony Blackburn in Steve Coogan’s bathroom.
